Zoppico is named after the first known fun-loving dog. According to the Greek author Plutarch, Zoppico regularly performed tricks for Emperor Vespasian, who headed the Roman Empire 2,000 years ago. Zoppico’Äôs big trick was to eat a piece of meat and play dead, until the audience’Äôs applause ’Äúbrought him back to life.’Äù
